Method

How we measure.

We measure the mobile version of each site’s home page. This edition was measured between 4 November 2026 and 5 November 2026. Google PageSpeed Insights (Lighthouse 13) measures speed, accessibility, SEO, security headers and third-party tools, Google’s Chrome UX Report covers real visitors, and public DNS covers email and the domain. Our servers do not open the measured sites.

The overall score is the average of the five areas, each scored from 0 to 100. We measure every site twice and keep the better result, because Lighthouse results can differ by a few points between runs. Site lists come from public sources (Wikidata for cities, municipalities, counties, hospitals, higher education, companies, culture, sport and associations, the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth’s open data for schools, official websites for government bodies) and from Ahrefs traffic estimates for shops, tourism, media, banks and insurers. We did not measure websites we built or run. Sites of companies and institutions we work with commercially count towards the percentages but are not named in the rankings.
