Website and webshop security
Website security you can check.
Hiperlink Digital specialises in technical SEO and cyber security for business websites and webshops. We review what your site exposes, fix what matters first and leave a record of the work you can check. Not sure where to start? Request a free website check.
What we check
Close the gaps that are found first.
The review covers the website, the server settings visible from outside and the accounts that can change the site. Scope and access are agreed before any change is made.
01
What the site shows to the outside
HTTPS and HSTS, security headers, files and folders that should not be public, version details and what the site reveals about its server.
Our guide to security headers for a business website explains which headers to check and where they are set.
02
Plugins, themes and updates
Outdated or abandoned plugins, copies from unofficial sources and updates without a way back. We also check what to do when a plugin you rely on is itself compromised.
What to check when a plugin you use was compromised shows the order of checks we follow.
03
Accounts and access
Administrator accounts and roles, passwords and two-factor sign-in, hosting and file access, and who still has access after a project or contract has ended.
04
Forms, orders and customer data
Contact and order forms, spam protection without a third-party CAPTCHA, and where customer and order data end up: emails, backups and plugins that send data to other services.
See contact form spam without a CAPTCHA for the checks we use on our own form.
Who does the work
Security and SEO in one review.
Filip Ćakić, who leads Hiperlink Digital, has 25 years of experience in SEO, the internet and cyber security. A security fix should not cost you search visibility, and an SEO change should not open a new risk.
01
Review
We check the site from the outside and, with agreed access, the WordPress setup, plugins, accounts and backups. You receive the findings ranked by risk.
02
Fix and harden
We fix the agreed findings with a backup and a way back, then check the functions your business depends on: pages, forms, the shop and sign-in.
03
Keep it checked
Security is not a one-off task. Regular checks after updates and changes can be part of WordPress care.
Before we start
Questions about website security.
What happens, and what we need from you, should be clear before anyone changes your site.
01
My site has been hacked. Can you help?
Yes. We first limit the damage, find how the attacker got in and restore the site from a clean source. Then passwords and keys are changed and we check what else was affected. Tell us what you noticed and when it started, but do not send passwords in your first message.
02
Do you work on webshops?
Yes, including WooCommerce shops. We pay extra attention to checkout, payment plugins, customer accounts and order data, and plan changes around your busiest sales hours.
03
Will security changes affect SEO?
They should not, and we check that they do not. Redirects, headers, firewall rules and blocked bots can affect how search engines crawl the site, so we review them together with SEO.
04
How is a security review priced?
Pricing depends on the size of the site, its plugins and integrations, and whether there is an active incident. Scope and price are agreed before work starts.
05
Does a review guarantee the site cannot be hacked?
No one can honestly promise that. A review lowers the risk, shows what is exposed and makes recovery faster if something does happen.
Next step
Start with a security review.
Share your website address and what concerns you: a browser warning, spam, a site that changed on its own, or simply a check before a busy season. Access arrangements can follow after the first enquiry.
